YEREVAN. – Armenia's banking system can attract investors from Diaspora, Minister Hranush Hakobyan told reporters in the parliament on Monday.
The Minister said she had already informed the Armenians about quite high deposit rate of 6-18 percent.
“If the compatriots make investments, they will win, while banks and economy will win, too,” Hakobyan said.
Several days ago the Minister received a large delegation of the foreign representatives of Hayastan fund. At the end of a meeting representative from Canada said he would immediately open a deposit.
“His words were welcomed by applause,” Hranush Hakobyan added.
Another Canadian Armenian has recently contacted the Ministry saying he would open three deposits for his three daughters, she added.
