YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met with representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Armenia, Manja Henriette Ahrens, who is completing her mission in the country. 

Abrahamyan highly praised Ahrens’ activities, and thanked her for the productive cooperation. He also underscored the ongoing joint projects, and noted that the 2016-2020 UNICEF action plan in Armenia was approved in June. 

In addition, the PM stressed that the Government of Armenia will continue taking consistent measures to protect the rights of children in Armenia, and improve their health and living conditions.

Ahrens, for her part, thanked the Premier for the close cooperation, and assistance in the implementation of projects. She also expressed confidence that UNICEF will successfully continue carrying out social projects in Armenia.

Separately, Hovik Abrahamyan awarded Manja Henriette Ahrens with the nominal watch of the Prime Minister of Armenia, and for the productive cooperation.
