YEREVAN. - International forum on cyber space will be held in Armenia. The “Internet Society of Armenia” NGO Vice Chairman Grigori Saghyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am Armenian Internet Governance Forum (ArmIGF) will be held in Yerevan on September 7-8.  

One of the issues on the agenda will be the registration of non-Latin domain names, i.e. those in Armenian, Cyrillic, etc. “We’ll see if the issue is of great interest, specifically in Armenia,” Saghyan said.

Issues on cross-border right to use the Internet and, specifically, the permission to use foreign online casinos, as well as the appropriateness of blocking their access in Armenia will also be discussed at the forum.

Another topic will be the intellectual property rights and free access to Internet resources.

Besides Armenian participants, the forum will host foreign guests from Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Australia, Serbia and Bahrain.
