YEREVAN. – Five resolutions, three of them initiated by Armenia have been adopted at the ministerial forum of the International Organisation of La Francophonie in Armenia.

One of the resolutions was related to the prevention of genocide, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said during a joint briefing with OIF Secretary General Michaelle Jean.

“It was a successful ministerial forum. I would like to note that the ministerial forum was also a good platform for bilateral meetings. I myself took the opportunity and held about 25 meetings,” the Minister added.

According to the minister, number of documents with the foreign ministers of member countries of the Francophonie has been signed.

“Armenia reaffirmed the commitment to the purposes and values ​​of the Francophonie,” he noted.

Edward Nalbandian handed over to Michaelle Jean a gold medal of the Armenian Foreign Ministry for the great support in the organization of the 31st meeting.
