Turkish pop star Tarkan and Environment Minister Veysel Eroglu have recently been involved in a battle of words. Turkish Minister Veysel Eroglu was infuriated with Tarkan’s statement that the law is not being applied for the protection of Allianoi ancient spa settlement.

In response to Tarkan’s words, the Minister stated that he should deal with his art, instead of speaking about issues he does not understand.  

“Just like it would be extremely wrong for me to comment on Tarkan’s art, his comments on the construction of a dam, or the protection of a historical artifact, are extremely wrong,” Today’s Zaman quoted Environment Minister.

According to Turkish Vatan, Tarkan addressed the Minister, saying that he would not answer him, as the scientists are preparing appropriate statement on the issue. He also added that the photos of Allianoi will remain on his page in Facebook.
