The government of Bavaria wants to expand the list of the countries, whose refugees’ claims for asylum will be turned down. Armenia has also been included in that list, Süddeutsche Zeitung reports.

At a government session, Bavarian Minister of the Interior Joachim Herrmann stated that the concept of originally secure states is especially convenient for the fast denial of prospectless applications. The list specifically includes Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, India, Mali, Mongolia, Algiers, Gambia and Bangladesh. Applications from these countries are very rarely satisfied by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.

A country is considered secure if there are no political persecutions in it.
