The terrorist attack committed earlier in the west of the Iraqi Hillah city has claimed the lives of 125 people, another 95 being wounded, TASS reports citing Qatar news portal Al-Sharq.

An explosive-laden truck was blown out on Thursday near a gas filling station in eastern Hillah, which is the administrative center of Babil province (100 km to the south of Baghdad). The explosion claimed the lives of several dozens of Iranian pilgrims, who were returning from Kerbala. They were taking part in multi-million marches on occasion of the religious ceremony Arba'een.
