YEREVAN. - The Armenian opposition acknowledges the good work of authorities but it is merely afraid of speaking out and calling into question its image.  

Head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (ANC) faction, Vahram Baghdasaryan, stated the aforementioned in the National Assembly (NA) on Tuesday, speaking at the debate on the 2017 State Budget.

In his words, the environment doesn’t allow the opposition to speak out about this openly, taking into account that April 2017 and parliamentary elections are ahead.

“Don’t be afraid of speaking well of the authorities. The actions of the current Government are aimed at the future. The results of those actions may not be immediately apparent, but everyone can see that the foundation is being laid,” Baghdasaryan said.
