YEREVAN. - Defense Minister of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan on Thursday received the Director for Continental Europe of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Florence Mangin, and French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier.

Issues related to the cooperation of the two countries in the sphere of defense were discussed at the meeting. Stressing the high level of Armenian-French relations and underscoring the importance of cooperation in the sphere of defense, the sides expressed readiness to develop their cooperation in a number of spheres of mutual interest.

Apart from this, the sides referred to the relations of EU and Armenia in the sphere of security and defense, as well as issues of regional security.
