The educational component of defense system should have an important role to play, stressed Armenia’s Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan during his meeting with Tufts University Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy Dean James Stavridis.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 53th Munich Security Conference. Armenia’s MOD chief and James Stavridis touched upon the issues of implementation of modern educational programs in the defense area.

Vigen Sargsyan introduced a new program launched in Armenia’s armed forces. The program gives the opportunity to combine military service with acquisition of the knowledge and skills in important areas such as information technology.

During the Munich Security Conference, Armenia’s MOD chief also had working meetings with his colleagues from Germany, Singapore and Georgia.
