The EU does not want Brexit to bring to restoration the border controls between Ireland and the Northern Ireland, announced the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker during his meeting with the Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny, AFP reports.

" I want to reassure everyone in Ireland that the European Commission and the Irish Government will work closely together during the process of the Brexit negotiations," said Juncker. " We don't want to have hard borders between Northern Ireland and the Republic." Kenney, stressed that there should be no return to previous borders.
