The Armenian side will continue working with Russian partners to promote the interests of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), said Vardan Tokhanyan, Armenia’s newly appointed ambassador to Russia, during a Moscow-Yerevan videoconference on Wednesday.
He noted this when asked about the Azerbaijani side’s attempts to attract the experts’ community.
“We [i.e. the Armenian side] will do what we have done,” noted the ambassador. “We have a very high level of state relations with the Russian Federation.
“Very good relations are established at the experts’ and civil society level; we will continue the work with all these circles.
“[But] I don’t think that we need to compare ourselves with anyone. We have our objectives that are clear and apparent, [and] are in the interests of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. We will work with everyone.”
