YEREVAN. - One of the persons, who has been arrested along with former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army Samvel Babayan as part of the Igla air missile smuggling case, is freedom fighter Sanasar Gabrielyan.
His attorney, Karapet Aghajanyan, told Armenian News - NEWS.am that his client does not confess to the charges brought against him.
“He does not confess to the charges brought against him. Moreover, the charges are ungrounded and have not been substantiated. Those charges shouldn’t have been brought against my client,” he said.
The attorney also noted that his client knows Samvel Babayan but has never been in close ties with him.
“I would publish our counterarguments but since the preliminary investigation information is secret, I cannot publish anything,” he said.
Sanasar Gabrielyan has been charged under Article 235 (2) and 235.1 (2)(1) of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
