STEPANAKERT. – President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR), Bako Sahakyan, on Tuesday issued a congratulatory address to President Serzh Sargsyan of Armenia, in connection with Sunday’s National Assembly election.

“Your Excellency,

“On behalf of the Artsakh Republic people, authorities and myself personally, I congratulate you and the Republic of Armenia’s citizens on the parliamentary elections held on April 2, 2017.

“The elections took place in an atmosphere of free and active competition, which was confirmed by international observers.

“I am confident that the elections and the new governance system to be formed will contribute to the consistent development and strengthening of Mother Armenia, raising the governing efficiency, and cementing the independent Armenian statehood.

“I congratulate you once again and wish peace, good luck and all the best,” runs the address by the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
