A 4.8-magnitude earthquake hit Azerbaijan on Thursday morning.

As the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia noted, the epicenter of the tremor was 23 km northwest of the city of Shirvan.

The hypocenter of this quake was 10 km beneath the surface. 

The seismic activity measured magnitude 6-7, at the epicenter.
