YEREVAN. – In fall, higher-grade students in more than ten schools in Armenia will be taught microelectronics, for the first time.  

Hovik Musayelyan, Director of Synopsys Armenia CJSC which is a coordinator of the respective program, told the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In 2015, the Ministry of Education and Science decided to begin advanced teaching of computer programming and telecommunication network, at several schools in Armenia. 

Schoolchildren that have excelled in exact subjects are selected for this advanced teaching subject, which comes to replace their computer classes. 

And the subject of microelectronics will be taught for the first time this fall, in the third year of this advanced teaching program. 

In 2023, the coordinators of this program plan to include it in all, or most, of the 105 colleges in Armenia.
