YEREVAN. - The issuance of Halal certificates in Armenia will contribute to the trade with Iran, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran, Mojtaba Khosrotaj, told journalists on Wednesday.

According to the Iranian official, who heads the delegation, which has arrived in Yerevan for holding talks on trade and investments, a center of Islamic Halal World standard certification already operates in Yerevan.  The opening of another center will very much contribute to the trade between Armenian enterprises and their Iranian counterparts.

“In Armenia the Iranian companies are first of all interested in agricultural product processing, as well as supplies of agriculture equipment, cooperation in the sphere of information and high technologies, and enhancement of contacts between banks and insurance companies,” Khosrotaj added.
