YEREVAN. – Armenia is introducing new and quite influential means to combat corruption, President  Serzh Sargsyan said at a regular meeting of the Caninet.

The president emphasized that transparency is not an end in itself and, of course, not a means of self-expression.

“The main goal of transparency is the destruction of corruption and protectionism. The system of public expenditure, procurement should be fully controlled, both for the parliament and for our entire society. Now we are introducing new and quite influential means to combat corruption. And these funds should match our purposeful activties,” Sargsyan said.
