Bilateral relations were discussed during the telephonic conversation between US President Donald Trump and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

They stressed the strategic cooperation between the two countries as well as the further strengthening of bilateral relations and regional stability, reported Anadolu (Anatolia) news agency of Turkey.

Also, Trump and Erdoğan agreed to meet within the framework of the UN General Assembly session to be convened in New York City.
