A major road accident occurred Thursday in Armenia.

At around 8:30am, a vehicle went off road in Shahumyan village in the Lori Province, hit a utility pole, and fell 70 meters into the yard of a house.

The Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reported from the scene that the driver and the passenger were taken out of the automobile with joint efforts by rescuers and local residents, and rushed to the military hospital in Vanadzor town.

According to our information, the driver and the passenger are members of the military.

The driver is in moderate condition, whereas the passenger is in a severe state.
