Anadolu (Anatolia) news agency of Turkey reported that the country’s army has launched an artillery attack on the Syrian Kurdish self-defense People’s Defense Unit (YPG) positions in the Afrin district, according to RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.     

The attacks were carried out by the armed forces that are deployed in the Hatay Province of Turkey.

Turkish media on Saturday had reported about the shelling of the YPG-controlled areas in Afrin.
