U.S. Congressmen congratulated Artsakh on the 30th anniversary of the start of the Karabakh Movement.
“I've always been incredibly impressed by the people of Artsakh and how they rose up in the middle of this attack by Azerbaijan, repelled Azerbaijan and created an independent state which is democratic and very much under rule of law,” Rep. Frank Pallone said in his address.

Rep. David Valadao, in turn, said that 30 years ago the people of Artsakh started a movement to become the first truly democratic process in the Soviet state, and “because of it millions obtained long-cherished freedom and human rights.”

Congresswoman Jackie Speier also said that the people of Nagorno-Karabakh share the dream of the most basic right any person can hold, that of self-rule and self-determination.
“America stands on support of those same principles,” she added.
