YEREVAN. -- An economic forum kicked off under the auspices of Armenian President Armen Sarkissian on Wednesday within the 7th Francophonie Summit in Yerevan.

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie Michaëlle Jean delivered speeches during the opening of the forum.

A unique robot Sophia also spoke at the economic forum. Sophia, who is the only robot recognized by the UN as a person and having citizenship, is in Armenia within the Francophonie summit.

Executive Director of Business Armenia Armen Avak Avakyan presented the vision of global economic processes and the investment climate of Armenia for businessmen from almost 50 countries.
