YEREVAN. – Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian, who is in Switzerland on a working visit, on Monday attended—at the United Nations (UN) Office at Geneva—the official opening of the 6th World Investment Forum 2018, which is held biannually and is organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

But before the opening of this forum, the president had a brief conversation with his Swiss colleague, Alain Berset, Public and Media Relations Department of the Office of the President of Armenia informed.

This year’s World Investment Forum has brought together more than 4,000 representatives from 160 countries.

After the opening ceremony, President Sarkissian took part in the UN Investment Promotion Awards ceremony, and presented a respective award to Invest India company.

Subsequently, the President toured Armenia’s pavilion at the World Investment Forum 2018.
