YEREVAN. – The award ceremony for state education in the IT sector was held Tuesday at the official residence of the Prime Minister of Armenia.

At the event, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan personally handed the awards to the winners in several respective categories.

“The IT sector needs to have progressive rates of development at us [Armenia],” Pashinyan noted, in particular, in his address at the award ceremony. “It needs to become one of the key pillars of our knowledge-based economy.”
