YEREVAN. – Narek Sargsyan, the nephew of third President Serzh Sargsyan, and who was detained Friday in Prague, has not been transferred to Armenia yet.
Chief of Police Valeri Osipyan on Sunday told about the aforesaid to reporters, after voting in the snap parliamentary election in the country.
“It’s in process, the relevant documents will be collected, and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia is already engaged [in the matter],” he added. “[But] the most important thing is the arrest. He [Narek Sargsyan] is arrested in the Czech Republic, and they will extradite [him] to Armenia.”
