YEREVAN. – Candidate from the Republican Party of Armenia Arpine Hovhannisyan said she voted for strong and democratic Armenia and is confidence that despite differences Armenia is our common homeland.

“We all have to be concerned over the existing problems and bear responsibility for them. That is we have to make Armenia a country where alternative opinion is not persecuted, and there is no hatred,” she said.

Hovhannisyan said these elections are imposed and they do not reflect the real situation.

“I urge the citizens of Armenia to show with their votes that this is one of the most important election in our history, and we understand all the challenges that our country is facing. All citizens of Armenia should have one motivation: understanding that their voice has a value,” she said.

The candidate pointed to misuse of administrative resources and violations during the elections, as well as to the propaganda against RPA and unprecedented pressure on the candidates.

“It was not our attempt to divide people into white and black. There are the authorities and there is the opposition. We are the sole opposition,” she added.
