Chinese-US tensions amid the arrest of the Huawei's Chief Financial Officer,  Meng Wanzhou, threaten to turn into protest actions near their diplomatic missions in Beijing.

Reinforced police units appeared on Tuesday near the Canadian Embassy in Beijing. The police do not allow passers-by to stop near the diplomatic mission. Similar measures are being taken at the US Embassy.

Some Chinese companies are banning US goods and requiring that their employees use Huawei products following the arrest of Huawei's chief financial office, the Hill reported.

Menpad, a Huawei supplier, has said it will punish employees who buy iPhones with a fine equivalent to the US smartphone's market price

Another Chinese company, Chengdu RYD, announced its intention to replace all of its equipment with Huawei products. This firm also promises subsidies to its employees for the purchase of Huawei products.
