YEREVAN.- Armenia's acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received USAID Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia Brock Bierman on Tuesday.

Pashinyan noted that the government will consistently and resolutely continue the implementation of institutional reforms aimed at the development of democratic institutions, stressing the importance of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in this context.

“Our goal is to turn the political revolution into an economic one, and on the way to implementing these major changes, we are interested in active cooperation with the US Agency for International Development. Our steps are aimed at strengthening democracy, improving the business environment, attracting investment, and developing civil society, ”Pashinyan said.

According to him, the Armenian government is interested in developing economic cooperation and increasing the volume of trade.

Brock Bierman congratulated Pashinyan on the victory. “The US Agency for International Development is ready to work with the Government of Armenia in the several fields.”
