The US must leave West Asia, said a senior Iranian general, said Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, a top military aide to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
According to him, the US made mistakes by launching military campaigns in Western Asia, pointing to the deaths of thousands of US troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“The US must leave West Asia. This region belongs to us,” Tasnim reported quoting Khamenei.
Describing Iran, China, Russia and India as the world’s new eastern powers in the current century, Major General said the modern Iranian-Islamic culture and civilization have stood against the American liberalism.
