National Assembly of Armenia former MP Gohar Yenokyan has passed away, aged 77, after a major illness.

From 1997 to 2007, Yenokyan was the board chairperson and executive director of a company.

Between 2007 and 2012, she was a member of parliament from the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP). Also, she used to be chairperson of the PAP Women’s Council.

In May 2015, Gohar Yenokyan was arrested on suspicion of involvement in plotting a murder. But later on, the criminal proceedings against her were discontinued.
