On 13 March, Armenia’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan Garnik Badalyan had a meeting with Turkmenistan’s Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Amandurdy Isanow.

As reported Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to NEWS.am, during the meeting, the parties discussed the current level of trade and economic relations between Armenia and Turkmenistan and the possible directions for deepening of their partnership.

The interlocutors agreed that the reopening of a direct flight to and from Ashkhabad and Yerevan is one of the major preconditions for deepening of the bilateral relations.

The Armenian ambassador and the Turkmen minister particularly touched upon the possibility of the opening of trading houses in the countries’ capitals.
