YEREVAN. – At the recent press conference, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan gave a comprehensive response to the matter of the appointment of next secretary general of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

Vladimir Karapetyan, spokesperson for the Armenian PM, on Thursday told about the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am. He noted this when asked to comment on CSTO Acting Secretary General Valery Semerikov’s statement that all necessary documents for the CSTO Secretary General candidate from Belarus had been sent to the participating countries of the organization.

“Second, Mr. Semerikov’s statement is quite informative and self-sufficient,” Karapetyan added. “Its answer is in the noted question.”

At Tuesday’s press conference, PM Nikol Pashinyan had ruled out the possibility that the next CSTO Secretary General might be appointed by bypassing Yerevan’s respective position.
