Mark Giragos, who is an American attorney of Armenian descent and known as a celebrity lawyer, is now named a co-conspirator in the extortion case of Michael Avenatti.

Avenatti is accused of trying to extort $25 million from Nike, reports Associated Press.

Geragos has had a long career representing high-profile clients including Michael Jackson, Colin Kaepernick and Jussie Smollett.

The attorney hasn’t responded to requests for comment.

Mark Geragos has been a longtime CNN contributor, but CNN cut ties with him within hours of the extortion case breaking.

Avenatti is a bellicose attorney best known for representing porn actress Stormy Daniels in lawsuits against President Donald Trump.
