It is unacceptable that the Council of Europe monitoring bodies and human rights commissioner cannot work in certain areas in the territory of Europe and the so-called grey zones, Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland said during his joint press conference with Armenian PM.
“Karabakh is such a grey zone for us because we cannot work there, it is blocked,” he said in response to the question by Armenian reported.
Jagland emphasized that human rights commissioner should have right to go everywhere she wants. He emphasized that the human rights commissioner is carrying out humanitarian work, and not political one.
