Presidential candidate, US Senator Bernie Sanders has co-sponsored a resolution for recognition of the Armenian Genocide, becoming the 17th co-sponsor of the resolution submitted by US Senator Robert Menendez.
The resolution has been submitted to the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee and expresses the sense of the Senate that it is the policy of the United States to commemorate the Armenian Genocide through official recognition and remembrance.
