YEREVAN. – Armenia is ranked 64th in the Global Innovation Index (GII) 2019, and this up four places, as compared to last year’s GII.
Armenia is ranked 15th from among 34 countries with above-average incomes, whereas in the GII 2018, it was among the top ten low-income countries, the Ministry of Economy informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In particular, Armenia has made progress in human capital and research, institutions, infrastructure, market improvement, and knowledge and technology products.
Switzerland, Sweden, and the US are the top three countries in the GII 2019.
