One person has died after a road accident in Yerevan.

On Thursday, at about 8pm, an unidentified car hit pedestrians Artur S., 49, and Sevak S., 42, on a street in the capital city of Armenia, shamshyan.com reported.

Afterwards, this vehicle went onto the opposite lane, collided with another car, and then fled the scene.

The hit-and-run victims had sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital where, however, Sevak S. died shortly thereafter—and without regaining consciousness.

A criminal case has been launched into this incident.

Police and investigators are searching for this car and its driver.
