The return of Artsakh to the negotiating table is the right approach, Artsakh Foreign Minister Masis Mayilyan told reporters.

“For many years, the Artsakh authorities insisted that Stepanakert’s returning to the negotiating table is a necessity that will increase the effectiveness of these meetings and this process. In this context, it can be welcomed that the new government of Armenia adheres to this policy and we are moving forward in this direction. It’s important that this is not a precondition, as the meetings continue, but the Foreign Minister and the Prime Minister are trying to advance this issue and it will be resolved,” he said.

Speaking about the local self-government elections, which are being held today in Artsakh, Mayilyan noted that he wants to see clean and comfortable Stepanakert, for which he voted.
