Jermuk residents plan to hold a rally on Monday and express their position on the issue of exploiting the Amulsar field, a resident of Jermuk Shirak Buniatyan told NEWS.am

“The Amulsar development page was closed more than a year ago for us. I don’t think that the day will come when we will agree to return to this,” the ecologist said. 

Asked about the prime minister’s promise to close the mine, if violations were discovered, he assured that the position of the Jermuk’s residents was unchanged, but he would not want to speak on behalf of everyone. 

“A meeting will be held today for this,” he noted.
