Armenia is expecting President of Iran Hassan Rouhani on October 1. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan told journalists today, touching upon Iran-Armenia relations.

“There has been a meeting, and we are expecting the President of Iran in Yerevan on October 1. You know the geopolitical situation concerning Iran, and the implementation of our agreements is, to a certain extent, linked to that situation as well. There are specific sanctions that are creating certain obstacles. A month has passed since my visit to Iran. In this period, there have been a couple of reciprocal visits and contacts, and we are working on implementing the agreements,” the Prime Minister said.

When asked if there are agreements that have been implemented over the past few months, the Prime Minister said the following: “Some agreements have been implemented, while others are in the process of implementation. It all depends on the international conjuncture. We understand that there are many problems associated with the implementation of those agreements.”
