Armenian President Armen Sarkissian signed today a decree on dismissing Valery Osipyan as Armenian police chief.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented to the Armenian President Armen Sarkissian a proposal to relieve Valery Osipyan from the post of the Police chief, said the Presidential aide Hasmik Petrosyan.

Yesterday, the Armenian ex-head of National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan has resigned.

According to Armenian News-NEWS.am, Chief of Police of Armenia Valeriy Osipyan has submitted a resignation letter. The official press release is expected to be released tomorrow. Armenian News-NEWS.am tried to receive clarification from the news service of the Police of Armenia, but the phone calls remained unanswered.
