Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Zohrab Mnatsakanyan today had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) Masis Mayilyan, reports the news service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

The foreign ministers of the two countries attached great importance to the regular meetings and consultations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh.

The interlocutors touched upon the signed plan for consultations and the active steps aimed at implementing the plan. They also specified each other’s positions on the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the items on the agenda ahead of the meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Azerbaijan through the mediation and with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs in New York.

Minister Mnatsakanyan reaffirmed that the security and status of the people of Artsakh are Armenia’s priorities, emphasizing that the decisive voice and involvement of Artsakh as the main party to the conflict is of special significance from the perspective of ensuring effectiveness of the peace process.
