The United States will strengthen its military presence in Syria to block the access to oil fields for ISIS, Pentagon chief Mark Esper said.

Esper said the U.S. is now taking some actions to strengthen position at Deir al zor, Reuters reported.

He did not say how many forces were currently in the region or how many additional forces would be sent.
