Indonesian President Joko Widodo decided to abolish the powers of several categories of ministerial assistants, whose work will begin to be performed by artificial intelligence, TASS reported referring to The Jakarta Post.

According to the leader, he has ordered the ministers to replace the third and fourth category employees with artificial intelligence technology.

He noted that it will allow for faster bureaucratic work.

As Indonesia's Minister of Economic Coordinator Airlangga Hartarto explained, the innovation will be used to issue state licenses.

Artificial intelligence will allow us to issue permits based on an automatic risk assessment system, the official said.
