Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has sent a telegram of condolence on the occasion of the death of academician Davit Sedakyan.

The telegram reads as follows:

"I was deeply saddened by the news about the death of renowned academician Davit Sedrakyan.

Davit Sedrakyan was internationally recognized in the field of astrophysics and was also known for his activism and principled and sincere civic stance in public life in Armenia.

As a longstanding academician-secretary and later vice-president of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia and head of the Chair of General Physics at Yerevan State University, Davit Sedrakyan made great contributions to and played a major role in the development of science in Armenia.

I express my deep condolence to Davit Sedrakyan’s family, relatives and close ones."
