US President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani said on Sunday that he managed to get witnesses and documents that allegedly prove that Democrats are trying to hide Burisma’s law violations and the involvement of former US Vice President Joe Biden’s son in laundering millions of dollars, RIA Novosti reported.
Democrats began the process of impeachment against Trump, suspecting him of delaying military aid to Ukraine and demanding to investigate his political opponent Joe Biden and his son Hunter. Trump, in turn, ays he demanded the Ukrainian authorities to fight corruption.
"After hundreds of hours & months of research, I have garnered witnesses & documents which reveal the truth behind this impeachment, which includes NO wrongdoing by @realDonaldTrump," he tweeted. "Dem’s impeachment for innocent conduct is intended to obstruct the below investigations of Obama-era corruption: - Billions of laundered $ - Billions, mostly US $, widely misused - Extortion - Bribery - DNC collusion w/ Ukraine to destroy candidate Trump Much more to come."
His remarks came after his trip to Hungary, Austria and Ukraine.
Giuliani describes a $ 16 million flow chart through a chain of companies, including in Cyprus, at the end of which $ 3 million, according to a lawyer, turned up with Hunter Biden. An official letter dated February 2016, indicating the possible involvement of Biden and Burisma in money laundering, was received by the Ukrainian authorities from the Latvian prosecutor's office. A copy of the document is shown in one of the videos.
One of the witnesses, the ex-Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Shokhin, confirmed that he remembers this document. Shokhin was fired from his post, according to him, under pressure from Joe Biden personally for the anti-corruption investigation that he led against Burisma. Shokhin’s testimony will be the number one proof, the video says.
Another witness is the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko, who replaced Shokhin.

There are three more witnesses who are called: a high-ranking official, diplomat and member of the Ukrainian parliament.
The situation around the Burisma Group was in the spotlight after a phone talk between the presidents of the US and Ukraine, Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, about which an unnamed intelligence officer complained to his leadership. The transcript of the phone talk was made public. The transcript confirmed that Trump asked Zelenskyy to investigate the dismissal of former Ukrainian prosecutor general Viktor Shokin, who investigated the activities of the Burisma Group and Hunter Biden.
