YEREVAN. – Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, has issued a warning against NA vice-speaker Alen Simonyan, but he did not specify why, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports from parliament.

Mirzoyan noted that Simonyan knows why a disciplinary sanction was issued against him.

During today's session, Ararat Mirzoyan imposed a sanction on Edmon Marukyan, head of the opposition Bright Armenia faction in the NA, and yesterday—on several MPs of the opposition Prosperous Armenia faction.

Mirzoyan has applied a sanction to his political teammate Simonyan following the two aforesaid opposition factions’ statements on his unilateral actions.
