YEREVAN. – The prosecutor's office did not confirm the indictments for the second time in the criminal case involving National Assembly (NA) former Speaker Ara Babloyan and NA former Deputy Chief of Staff Arsen Babayan. The Public Relations Division of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia informed this to Armenian News-NEWS.am today.

The respective statement notes that the actions of the accused were not properly qualified, and therefore a decision was made to commute the charge and to file new charges against them.

At present, Babloyan is accused of usurping the powers of the Constitutional Court with a group of officials, as well as committing official fraud.
