YEREVAN. – The Criminal Court of Appeal of Armenia has ruled in favor of the appeal by the attorney of Armen Gevorgyan, former Deputy Prime Minister and former Chief of Staff of the President, and the curtailing of his right to free movement has been lifted. Gevorgyan's lawyer, Erik Aleksanyan, noted this on Facebook today.
In particular, he wrote that the Criminal Court of Appeal had obliged the body conducting the proceedings to terminate the violation of Gevorgyan's rights.
As per the attorney, the upper court found that what he had submitted in this regard was not abstract, but it contained data on the characteristics of a crime.
